The original 2001 RTS Stronghold will finally get a full remaster
Developer Firefly Studios has announced a remaster of the 2001 real-time strategy game Stronghold:
Here's What We Know
Despite the fact that in 2013 the game received an HD version with improved graphics, cloud saves and other improvements, this update promises to be much bigger. Stronghold: Definitive Edition will include a campaign consisting of 14 missions in which you will "wander the ruined English countryside in the hope of finding a missing relative of Sir Longarms", as well as 10 Castle Trail missions with famous historical fortresses such as Warwick, Dunnothar and Marksburg.
Of course, the game will also feature updated graphics based on the original design, updated music and sounds, including the return of some of the original actors' voices. Multiplayer mode and Steam Workshop will be supported so that players can share their maps.
Stronghold: Definitive Edition will be released on PC (on Steam) on 7 November.
