A major Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV has been announced. The popular MMORPG will feature a lot of new content and a number of technical improvements

At the Final Fantasy Fan Fest 2023 event, not only the news of the popular MMORPG's release on Xbox were announced, but also the next expansion.

Here's What We Know

Publisher Square Enix has announced the Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV.

DLC will bring a lot of new content to the game:

• there will be a new large-scale location - the tropical area of Tural (Tural), where there are cities, sandy beaches and settlements of indigenous people from the Pelupelu tribe (Final Fantasy X);
• two new professions;
• the maximum character level will increase from 90 to 100 and there will be many new skills;
• new enemies, dungeons, equipment, recipes, potions, raids and more.

In addition to content innovations, with the release of Dawntrail Square Enix will begin to significantly improve the technical part of Final Fantasy XIV: graphics, lighting, quality of textures and shadows, appearance of characters, player heroes and locations.

Due to the technical improvements, the minimum system requirements of the game will also change. They will not grow critically, so the developers will continue to support the PlayStation 4 version.

When We Can Expect It

Dawntrail expansion is planned to be released in the summer of 2024. The exact date is unknown, but it will probably happen simultaneously with the release of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox.
