Google Pixel 7 Pro - Tensor G2, 3K AMOLED 10-120Hz display and, for the first time, 512GB of storage for $899

Google held a big presentation, which announced several new products, including the flagship smartphone Google Pixel 7 Pro. It is almost the same as the Pixel 6 Pro, but the price has not changed.

Here's What We Know

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7" AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 10-120 Hz and a resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels. The display has an integrated fingerprint scanner, and protection is provided by Gorilla Glass Victus.

The hardware platform is built around a chip Tensor G2. Compared to the first generation processor, the speed of execution of machine learning tasks has increased by 60%, and energy efficiency - by 20%. The chipset is made according to the norms of 4 nm technology.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro was the company's first smartphone with 512GB of storage. The 128GB and 256GB versions also remained. RAM is 12GB regardless of storage capacity. The power subsystem is represented by a 5000 mA*h battery with both wired and wireless charging. The Extreme Battery Saver mode allows the smartphone to work on a single charge for three days.

The main camera features a 50 MP main module (1/1.31", f/1.5, OIS), a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle (f/2.2) with a 125.8-degree angle of view and a 48 MP telephoto lens (f/3.5, OIS) with a 5x optical zoom. The front camera resolution is 10.8 MP (f/2.2).

In terms of interesting software solutions in the camera we can note Super Res Zoom up to 30x and Magic Eraser to remove unnecessary objects, but this was also in the Pixel 6 Pro. But the novelty can shoot video in portrait mode with background blur. The Macro Focus function gives you the opportunity to take photos from a distance of 3 cm on the ultra-wide-angle camera. Photo Unblur technology is provided to improve the clarity of photos taken in motion.

Pixel 7 Pro has received water and dust protection IP68. It runs based on the operating system Android 13 without additional software shells. The smartphone will go on sale without a power adapter, but it will come with an adapter from USB-C to USB-A.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The flagship is already available for pre-order on Google's official website. The 128GB and 256GB versions of the Pixel 7 Pro will cost the same as the Pixel 6 Pro at $899 and $999, respectively.
