The Google Pixel 7 Pro barely passed JerryRigEverything's durability test, becoming a true king of scratches
Famous blogger Zack Nelson, author of the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, tested Google's Pixel 7 Pro smartphone for durability. That's not to say that the American manufacturer's recent new product failed the test, but there were questions about it.
Here's What We Know
In addition to the traditional durability tests, the blogger decided to test the durability of the metal insert on the back, where the triple main camera is located. He scratched the camera unit with keys, screwdriver, sandpaper and coins to simulate wearing the smartphone in his pocket. As a result, the anodized aluminum insert lost its attractive appearance.
The scratches on the screen appeared only after using a puncher with a hardness of 6 points on the Mohs scale. This is a typical result for most modern smartphones. The back cover can not boast of scratch resistance. Even a paper knife could leave a mark on it.
In the screen heating test, nothing unusual happened. After 20 seconds of exposure to an open flame from a lighter, a black spot appeared on the display. At the end, the Google Pixel 7 Pro partially passed the bending test. The blogger did not manage to break the smartphone, but after several attempts to do so, the Pixel 7 Pro bent the frame and peeled off the front panel.
