Google Pixel 8 Pro - Tensor G3, 50MP camera with OIS, 5x optical zoom, 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display and Android 14 priced from $999
Along with the Pixel 8, Google has announced the Pro version. As usual, the key differences concern the price, camera, screen and battery.
Here's What We Know
Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with LTPO AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, support for 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The diagonal has increased by half an inch to 6.7" compared to the base model.
The resolution of the main camera is 50 MP + 48 MP + 48 MP. One of the two 48 MP modules has optical stabilisation and is equipped with periscopic optics with 5x zoom without loss of quality.
The battery capacity was 4950 mA*h. The wired charging power is almost unchanged compared to the Pixel 8, being 27W vs 24W. But the wireless charging power has almost doubled, from 12W to 23W.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with a Tensor G3 chip, a 10.5MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner and has an Android 14 operating system. The case is IP68 water and dust resistant.
With the purchase of the Pixel 8 Pro, the company is giving the Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch. The cost of the smartphone starts at $999 / €1099.
