Warner Bros. will raise the cost of its HBO Max ad-free plan
Using the HBO Max streaming service is about to get a little more expensive. Warner Bros. has decided to raise the cost of a plan that does not include advertising.
Here's What We Know
Right now, users pay $15 a month for the ad-free plan. However, in a few weeks the cost of subscription will increase by $1 and will be $16 a month. The changes will take effect Feb. 11, 2023.
The streaming service debuted in May 2020 and will celebrate its third birthday in four months. Although Warner Bros. plans to merge HBO Max and Discovery in the coming spring, so another increase in the cost of subscriptions is not far off.
By the way, HBO Max has a more affordable plan, which includes advertising. It costs $10 a month. Whether Warner Bros. plans to raise the price by $1 is not yet known.
