Nokia has unveiled two new routers, the Beacon 4 and Beacon 9, which promise to take home internet to the next level with Wi-Fi 7 support.

Here's What We Know

The Beacon 4 is designed for those who want a stable and fast connection without the extra cost. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi 7 (2.4GHz and 5GHz) with 2×2 MIMO technology, offering speeds of up to 3.6Gbps and coverage of up to 250m². It features a 2.5GbE WAN port and two 1GbE LAN ports, making it a great choice for most home networks.

The Beacon 9 is the flagship model, which will maximise coverage and internet speeds. It supports tri-band architecture (2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz), which allows it to achieve up to 9.4Gbps throughput. The 320 MHz channel width makes it one of the most advanced solutions on the market. The coverage area is up to 280m² and ports include a 2.5GbE WAN, a 2.5GbE LAN and an optional 1GbE LAN.

Both devices feature a minimalist design that will blend in with any interior. They are powered by Nokia's Corteca software, allowing remote network management and configuration updates.

Nokia is not disclosing pricing yet, as the routers will be distributed through telecom operators as part of data plans.
