Honor 80 Pro will appear in a simplified version without the curved display and dual front camera

Honor will unveil a new Honor 80 Pro smartphone next year. The original version debuted in late fall and is still on sale only in China.

Here's What We Know

The updated Honor 80 Pro will retain the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 160MP main module and a 4800 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. The changes will apply to the cameras and the display.

The new version of the smartphone will get a flat OLED panel instead of the curved one. The resolution will be reduced from 2700 x 1224 to the standard 2400 x 1080 pixels, and the diagonal - from 6.78" to 6.67". The frame refresh rate will remain the same - 120 Hz.

Honor 80 Pro will not get a dual front camera. The fall model is equipped with modules for 50 MP and 2 MP. The future novelty will get one 32 MP sensor. In addition, the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera will be reduced from 50 MP to 8 MP.

The presentation of the new variant of Honor 80 Pro will be held in January 2023. The cost is not specified. The original smartphone appeared on sale for $510-600.
