With all the buzz around CES 2023, Honor's announcement went unnoticed. It unveiled a new variant of the Honor 80 Pro smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The model is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 12GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 256 GB, the battery capacity is 4,800 mA*h, and the fast wired charging power is 66 watts.

The new Honor 80 Pro uses an OLED flat-panel display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The diagonal is reduced by 0.11" to 6.67". The resolution has been reduced from 2700 x 1224 to 2400 x 1080 pixels. Also the smartphone has lost the front camera with 50 MP and 2 MP modules. Instead of it there is a single 32 MP sensor.

The main camera also suffered. Fortunately, the main 160 MP module retained. The additional 2 MP sensor didn't go anywhere either. And the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera is now 8 MP, instead of 50 MP.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The launch of the updated Honor 80 Pro is scheduled for January 6, 2023. The cost of the smartphone is $480.
