The Honor Magic 5 Pro smartphone was unveiled at MWC 2023 last week. Today, on 6 March, the novelty debuted in China with a few differences from the global version.

Here's What We Know

Expectedly, the Chinese version of the Honor Magic 5 Pro has more memory, but costs less than the modification with the global firmware. However, that's not the only difference between the new product.

Residents of the Middle Kingdom will be able to buy the Honor Magic 5 Pro with a silicon-carbon battery. The battery was also unveiled at MWC 2023, but it is not used in the global version of the smartphone. The new technology can increase the energy density by 12.8% compared to lithium batteries.

As such, the Chinese Honor Magic 5 Pro gets a 5450mAh battery rather than 5100mAh. At 3.5V, it retains 240% more charge. This is the reason for the 350mAh increase in capacity.

The global version of the smartphone is available in a 12/512GB variant priced at $1270 / £1055 / €1,200 depending on the region. In China, the novelty is offered in three variants: 8/256GB, 12/256GB and 16/512GB. They will cost $750, $825 and $900 respectively.
