Replacing the motherboard in Huawei's flagship Mate 60 RS smartphone costs more than a new iPhone 15
Huawei recently launched the Mate 60 RS flagship smartphone. After the announcement, the company announced the replacement cost of some components.
Here's What We Know
Huawei Mate 60 RS has a ceramic back panel. It can be changed for $300. In case of screen breakage will have to pay about $40 more. The display in the smartphone has a resolution of 2720 x 1260 pixels, a diagonal of 6.82" and a variable frame refresh rate between 1-120 Hz.
The most expensive component of the Huawei Mate 60 RS is the motherboard based on the Kirin 9000s processor. The replacement costs between $890 and $960, while the smartphone itself costs $1640-1780. Moreover, in China, the new iPhone 15 can be purchased for $820.
All the main camera modules (48 MP + 48 MP + 40 MP) can be replaced with new ones for less than $300. The most expensive is the telephoto lens ($115). The 13 MP front camera will cost $37, and the 3D ToF sensor is a couple of dollars more expensive. You can swap out the 5000 mA*h battery for $35.
