Following the Huawei P60 Pro, another top-level smartphone has made its European debut. Residents of the Old World will be able to buy the Huawei Mate X3 this month.

Here's What We Know

The Huawei Mate X3 is another bendable smartphone from the Chinese company in a booklet form factor. The internal display measures 7.85" diagonally and has a resolution of 2496 x 2224 pixels, while the external display measures 6.4" and 2504 x 1080 pixels respectively. Both use an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip without a 5G modem. The battery capacity is 4,800mAh and the fast charging capacity is 66W. The case has IPX8 water and dust protection.

The Huawei Mate X3 is equipped with two 8 MP front-facing cameras. The main camera has a resolution of 50 MP (Sony IMX766, OIS) + 13 MP (Sony IMX688) + 12 MP (Sony IMX688). The 12 MP sensor is complemented by optics that provide a 5x zoom.

There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 in the arsenal. The Chinese version of the smartphone runs the HarmonyOS 3.1 operating system, but in Europe the model will be sold with EMUI 13.1 on Android and without Google services.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Unlike the Huawei P60 Pro, which is already on sale, the Mate X3 model will have to wait. It will hit the market on May 22 / 26 at a price of €2200 / £2000 respectively. In the UK, the company will be giving away a Huawei Watch GT 3 with the purchase of the smartphone until 5 June.
