Insider: Resident Evil 9 could be released in early 2025 - Capcom is gearing up for an early unveiling of the new horror game
Last week, reputable insider Dusk Golem revealed that the unannounced Resident Evil 9 might be released later than Capcom had planned.
Now he has provided some more details.
Here's What We Know
According to new data from Dusk Golem, the official announcement of Resident Evil 9 may take place in the near future.
And the most interesting thing is that the new part of the cult horror franchise can be released as early as January 2025.
Dusk Golem explained that the development of Resident Evil 9 (the name is conditional) started in 2018 and was conducted in parallel with the work on Resident Evil Village. Interestingly, Village was originally conceived as a spin-off, and the ninth part was supposed to be the eighth, but eventually Capcom's plans changed.
Dusk Golem also reminded that Resident Evil 9 will be the most ambitious and resource-consuming game of Capcom, and its creation was allocated a record time for the Japanese company.
Earlier Dusk Golem mentioned that Resident Evil 9 will feature a full open world, but the insider will not reveal any more secrets about the game, as he believes that Capcom deserves to present a horror game on its own and surprise gamers.
