Google Drive on iOS gets better filtering options
Google has updated the search features in the Google Drive app for iOS and provided users with an easy and convenient way to filter their files.
Here's What We Know
The update to Google Drive for iOS includes new filtering capabilities that allow users to conveniently select options to search for files by file type, owner, and last modified date. These interactive lists, which expand on tap, simplify the filtering process and allow you to find the files you need faster.
According to the company, these updates will make searching and browsing for files more enjoyable and efficient, especially when users need to find a specific file type or the most recent modifications. Once the search is launched, users will be offered relevant filter recommendations, as well as the ability to enter their own parameters.
This feature is available to Google Workspace customers, individual subscribers, and all users with a personal Google account on iOS.
The filtering enhancement is a significant improvement over the previous approach, which was based on filter suggestions that could be swiped through.
