The stable version of iOS 17.4 is out: what's new
Apple, after a month of testing, has announced a stable version of iOS 17.4.
Here's What's New About It
Apple has made some major changes to the App Store and branded apps in the European Union to comply with the Digital Markets Act. These changes are included in iOS 17.4, but only apply to countries within the European Economic Area. For example, iPhone users in Europe have been given alternative app shops, new ways to pay for subscriptions, the ability to choose a default browser, and more.
In addition, Apple has allowed game streaming services (Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce NOW, etc.) to be published in the App Store. Also in iOS 17.4 there are new emoji, podcast transcripts, slightly updated Safari browser, expanded settings for Stolen Device Protectio and much more. The developers also fixed a lot of bugs in the system.
When We Can Expect It
The update weighs almost 2GB and has already started rolling out in waves to all supported iPhone models. You can check for OTA in the gadget's settings.
