Didn't take off: Apple halts production of iPhone 14 Plus
Analyst company The Information published a report, according to which, Apple stops production of the iPhone 14 Plus.
Here's What We Know
According to the analysts, Apple has contacted at least one smartphone assembly partner to immediately halt production of the iPhone 14 Plus, as well as two component suppliers to reduce production to 90 percent. The report also mentions that one iPhone supplier has been instructed to increase component production for the top-end iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models.
Apple has not yet commented on the situation, but it seems that the company has overestimated the demand for the new product. Despite this, Apple is still planning to release a Plus version of the iPhone next year.
In case you didn't know, the iPhone 14 Plus sells in the U.S. from $899. That is only $100 cheaper than the iPhone 14 Pro and $200 cheaper than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
