$10 million per episode: the production budget for the first season of The Last of Us has been revealed

The series based on the famous game The Last of Us is approaching its premiere.

According to the media, particularly the portal Collider, the production budget for the first season was about $100 million. Consequently, one episode of The Last of Us cost HBO $10 million - a decent amount to make a high quality product.

This figure is not a record, by comparison, the first season of Game of Thrones cost $60 million and its recent prequel, House of the Dragon, $200 million.
