The official trailer for the film 'BlackBerry' has been published on the IFC Films YouTube channel. As you might have guessed from the title, it's a film that tells the story of BlackBerry, the legendary manufacturer of keypad phones.
Here's What We Know
Starring Jay Baruchel, Glenn Howerton and Matt Johnson, who also serves as director. The script is based on a book by journalist and author Jacquie McNish, who recounted the ups and downs of BlackBerry.
The story focuses mainly on the relationship between the company's founders Mihalis Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie. The film shows the development of the first phone, success and attempts to save the company. The trailer even features a moment of employees watching the presentation of the first iPhone by Steve Jobs. The bottom line we already know - BlackBerry has lost out to modern smartphones.
The film will premiere on May 12.
