Oppenheimer, the critically acclaimed new film by Christopher Nolan, will premiere in cinemas today.

Here's What We Know

The film received 90 points out of 100 on Metacritic. The film is praised for its incredible visuals and deep characterisation, especially of Oppenheimer, who realised the consequences of his horrific creation too late. Some describe the film as if Christopher Nolan had been preparing for it his entire career, and it may well become his best work.

And on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 92% freshness rating. They also praised the acting, visuals, plot, and biography of the protagonist and call the project a "film of our time". Of course, there were those who didn't like the film and wrote that Oppenheimer too often feels like a three-hour Wikipedia article, but in general, critics and journalists were satisfied.

Flashback

Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is a biographical drama about theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who helped create the atomic bomb. He is often called the "father of the atomic bomb". The film is based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer.
