The "Lord of the Rings" director has called the "Talk to Me" horror film THE BEST!

Peter Jackson - director of the Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings trilogy - has shared his opinion on new horror film Talk to Me - reports IndieWire

The Australian horror film has received kudos and praise from the greatest Peter Jackson. He called the film "frightening and disturbing." The director published a post calling "Two, Three, Demon Come" the best horror film in years:

"Talk to Me" isn’t just good – it’s very very good. The best, most intense, horror movie I’ve enjoyed in years,” Jackson wrote. He added that the film is “relentlessly scary and disturbing — in the best possible way."

The film tells the story of teenagers who accidentally stumble upon an ancient burial site of Australian natives. Having found an embalmed hand, the protagonist Mila, decided to turn to ancient beliefs and conduct an experiment on summoning spirits. However, soon it becomes clear that an innocent prank has terrible and unexpected consequences.

The film, directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, grossed $30 million with an investment of $4.5 million. Due to this success, the studio A24, which released the film, has announced that it is working on a sequel.
