Zack Snyder's sci-fi film Rebel Moon is being released in two parts - and apparently the second part will be coming to Netflix sooner than expected. Plus, both films have reportedly been given mysterious new titles.

Here's What We Know

According to a new report from What's on Netflix, the plan is to release the second part in April 2024. Considering that the first part is due out at the end of December, this could be called a really short wait. The site also claims that there are at least three Rebel Moon films planned, so we may see more science fiction in the near future.

Snyder has previously hinted at the sci-fi scale of the film. The director compared the film to Man of Steel's Kryptonian scenes.

"That's kind of what we're doing in Rebel Moon, but on the biggest steroids that I can give it"- said the director.

The site also divulged the films' tentative titles: the first part is said to be called "Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire," while the second part will be called "Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver." While these titles don't reveal any plot details, they hint at a serious tone. However, this shouldn't come as a big surprise as it has already been announced that both parts will receive an extended R-rated version.

When We Can Expect It

The first part of Rebel Moon comes out on 22 December, and the trailer is due to be released at Gamescom on Tuesday, 22 August 2023.
