Renowned director Angel Manuel Soto, famous for the film "Blue Beetle", is preparing a real sensation for film fans - a new chapter in the history of "Transformers". According to Soto himself, his new film will be different from the previous parts of this cult franchise.

Here's What We Know

According to Angel Manuel Soto himself, after his successful work on Blue Beetle, he is now ready to move on to the next major phase of his career by entering the world of Transformers. In 2021, it was announced that this director from Puerto Rico would helm a new project for Paramount Pictures. And it seems that idea is still alive. Soto is currently busy promoting his latest film, Blue Beetle, and he admits that the cast can't participate in promotions due to a strike, but he's already starting to ponder his next moves.

In an interview with Collider, Angel Manuel Soto shared that he pitched his idea to Paramount Pictures, and they asked him to write a script to then direct:

"I pitched them an idea. I read a script, I didn’t like it, and I pitched them a whole different idea, and they liked it, but then it was too late. So they told me, “Yeah, we cannot do your idea, but we like your idea, so we want you to write the idea and then direct it.” So, we’ve been in that process, but the writers’ strike happened. [Laughs] It will be different, it will be different."

After the release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts earlier this year, Angel Manuel Soto's film won't be the only anticipated event for fans of the franchise. First of all, this film was intended to be the first part of a trilogy, which means that audiences can expect more films continuing the story that began with "Transformers 7." Details about the second part are still a mystery, and it is unclear if director Steven Caple Jr or any of the main stars of "Rise of the Beasts" will be involved in the upcoming project.
