The delay of "Dune 2" premiere until 2024 is officially confirmed! All fans have been eagerly waiting for November to dive into the world of the sequel to this exciting saga. However, according to a report from Warner Bros. "Dune 2" has been moved from its original release date of 3 November to an unspecified date next year. This decision was made after weeks of deliberation.

Here's What We Know

According to Variety, Warner Bros. Studios announced yesterday that "Dune 2" will be rescheduled. Previously, Variety had reported that Warner Bros. Studios was considering postponing the premiere date of "Dune" Part 2, but nothing had officially happened at that point. Now, it's official, "Dune 2" can now be removed from the 2023 film premiere calendar.

"Dune" isn't the only film to change its release date.

"Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," the sequel to the 2021 monster blockbuster "Godzilla vs. Kong", will now be released a month later than planned, on 12 April. The animated film "Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim", in turn, has been moved from 12 April 2024 to 13 December.

All these delays are due to the 2023 screenwriters' (WGA) and actors' (SAG-AFTRA) strikes. Especially SAG-AFTRA is stipulating that its members cannot participate in regular press conferences for any strike-hit films, which has also prevented the cast of "Dune 2" from promoting the film.

"Dune 2" stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Javier Bardem in the lead roles, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Lea Seydoux, and Stephen McKinley Henderson.
