You can't break the waves! Despite the current strikes in Hollywood, the film "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" is keeping its scheduled release date.

Here's What We Know

Last week, Warner Bros. Studios announced the delay of a number of upcoming films due to ongoing strikes in Hollywood. Among the rescheduled projects were Dune: Part Two, " Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," and "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim." However, according to reports of the new changes, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" is scheduled to be released on schedule. Earlier rumours surfaced that the "Aquaman" sequel could also be among the delayed Warner Bros. projects, specifically due to a cast strike that could prevent them from promoting the film. However, at this point we know that won't be the case.

Director James Wan shared his opinion on the franchise:

"Well, Aquaman – even the first film – has always been a very standalone film. That was always our approach: that it kind of lives in its own world, and that's kind of how we've approached The Lost Kingdom as well. You know, people love Jason Momoa; people love him playing this role; and people love the action visuals of this space and this world. And that's what we're doing: we're taking it to the next level and we are still expanding – and just any fans of Aquaman the character, that love Black Manta, this is the next level and I'm very excited to finally put out there to show them what we've been working on all these years."

In "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unexpected companion to protect Atlantis and the world from irreversible destruction caused by the awakening of an ancient power.

When We Can Expect It

The second part of Aquaman's adventures is set to hit screens on December 20, 2023.
