'Prey' director considers bringing Schwarzenegger back in sequel
Dan Trachtenberg, director of Prey, thinks it would be "great" to bring back Arnold Schwarzenegger or Danny Glover for Prey 2.
Here's What We Know
While Trachtenberg doesn't know how to pull it off yet, he is learning and considering ways to get Schwarzenegger or Danny Glover involved in future films.
"Prey," the fifth instalment in the main series, has been praised and even compared to the original film starring Schwarzenegger. "Prey" director Dan Trachtenberg has stated that "there is still time" to bring in "Predator" star Arnold Schwarzenegger or "Predator 2" star Danny Glover in any future "Prey" sequel.
The director was recently asked to reveal whether there has been any talk of bringing Schwarzenegger back to the era, even though "Prey" is set in the 1700s. And is there any chance of adding Schwarzenegger to the film's future cast?
Speaking to reporters, Trachtenberg admitted that he doesn't know how to "make things happen" yet, implying that he's not sure yet what way he would bring Schwarzenegger or Glover back in "Prey 2." But now that he has the idea in his head, he might start exploring exactly how Alan "Dutch" Schafer could face the Predator again.
"I don't know how to do things, but I'm learning how to do things. I did learn there was an attempt to have Arnold in Predators. All I'll say is - there's still time for those guys. They're still around, and wouldn't that be awesome?"
Schwarzenegger played the lead role in the original "Predator" which was released back in 1987, but despite several attempts to bring this star of the films back into the franchise, he never returned.
