Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom: A new teaser has been released in which Black Manta declares war on Aquaman
Ahead of the unveiling of the main trailer due out on Thursday, Warner Bros. has finally unveiled fresh footage from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Here's What We Know
Despite Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom being released in cinema in just three months, Warner Bros. has yet to launch an active marketing campaign, and even the main trailer has yet to be unveiled. So far, DC has only presented fans with a brief teaser just 30 seconds long.
The dynamic clip briefly outlines the main events of the upcoming film, in which Black Manta confidently declares: "I will kill Aquaman and destroy everything he holds dear." This is followed by a shot of Arthur Curry discovering the charred remains of his father's house. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom features several snippets of underwater fight scenes, including Arthur's fight with Black Manta.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is the sequel to the successful 2018 original film about the adventures of Arthur Curry, which became a billion-dollar hit. Jason Momoa returns to the lead role, while the antagonist, Black Manta, is played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who played the role in the first instalment as well.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom closes out the current leg of the DCEU, as the franchise is set to be rebooted under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran with the release of Superman: Legacy in 2025. No word yet on what Aquaman's place will be in the revamped universe.
When We Can Expect It
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will premiere on 20 December 2023.
