The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively unveiled the first footage from the upcoming film starring Harington, What Remains of Us, in which the British star plays a man with a very dark and scary secret.
The events unfold in 1965, and tells the story on behalf of the 10-year-old daughter of Harington's character. The girl begins to ask questions about her unusual life at a remote family homestead deep in the mountains of Arkansas. She discovers that her father turns into a monster once a month. Her parents argue that the creature is not to be feared, but when the monster escapes, the girl is confronted with the brutal reality of her father's personality and forced to make a decision that will fundamentally change her life.
What Remains of Us marks the directorial debut of documentary filmmaker Alexander J. Farrell, known for his work on Refugee. He wrote the screenplay for the film in collaboration with Greer Ellison. The entire film was shot in Yorkshire, England.
The role of the ten-year-old girl was played by actress Caoilinn Springall, who starred in Netflix's The Midnight Sky. The girl's mother was played by The Goldfinch's Ashleigh Cummings.
