Netflix is bringing the iconic video game "Onimusha" to life as an animated series - first trailer
Netflix presents the trailer for Onimusha, which introduces fans to its mesmerising world, turning the popular Capcom game series into an animated TV series.
Here's What We Know
The collaboration between Netflix and studio Sublimation promises to create a whole new spin on the world of anime, reigniting the fire in the Onimusha video game universe.
And now, led vocally by Sublimation's Akio Otsuka, the highly anticipated trailer for the Onimusha animated series has officially been released via X.
The game's protagonist, Musashi Miyamoto, is modelled after the popular actor Toshiro Mifune. The anime is being created using 3D characters, state-of-the-art computer graphics and painted backgrounds.
However, the special value of the upcoming project lies in the experience and distinctive timbre of Akio Otsuka. His name has long been known among fans of both the world of video games and animated series. Otsuka has an impressive portfolio that includes roles such as the powerful All For Wan in "My Hero Academia," the enigmatic Jigen in "Lupin III," and the fearsome Blackbeard in "One Piece." And now, his voice will also belong to Musashi Miyamoto in Onimusha.
Otsuka is joined in voice-overs by other notable artists including Toshihiko Seki voicing Kojiro Sasaki and Hochu Otsuka bringing Kensuke Matsui to life. They are accompanied by Daiki Yamashita as Sahei and Subaru Kimura, who personifies Goro Maru. Also, the cast includes Katsuyuki Konishi voicing Heikuro, Kazuyuki Okitsu voicing Kaizen, and Makoto Furukawa as Gensai.
When We Can Expect It
The Onimusha series will launch on November 2 on Netflix.
