The screenwriter of the Sleepy Hollow remake promises to reveal unexplored elements of the book and allow more to be revealed about the Headless Horseman
As promised by the writer of "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines" and the upcoming "Sleepy Hollow" reboot, the film will reveal details that have not previously been covered.
Here's What We Know
After completing work on "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines," which will air on Paramount+ on October 6, screenwriter Lindsey Anderson Beer has begun work on the "Sleepy Hollow" remake.
The film is based on Washington Irving's short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," which is one of the most famous short works of all time that made the legend of the Headless Horseman famous.
However, Anderson Beer intends to introduce a new, undiscovered version of the story.
The writer recently noted that, similar to her approach to the "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines" spin-off, her interest in "Sleepy Hollow" is a desire to showcase underappreciated aspects of the source material that, at first glance, don't seem as important. But only at first glance.
"It's also the same kind of thing where when I was doing Bloodlines, I kept asking myself when I was doing the rewrites, 'What would I want to know as a Pet Sematary fan? What are the questions left unanswered from the book? And what are the parts of the book that haven't been explored in movies?'"
The screenwriter also pointed out that a great many important details that are in the books were not addressed in the films. This means that a large number of viewers won't know about them and won't be able to fully experience the story because they haven't read the book, or read it years ago.
"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" has already been adapted several times. The first adaptation of Irving's story was a film released in 1999 directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken. Later, there was an animated adaptation, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad, and a TV series from FOX.
Here's What The Movie Is About
The story is about Ichabod Crane, a teacher. He arrives in the settlement of Sleepy Hollow, where he quickly wins the sympathy of the locals. The lad vies for the hand of Katrina Van Tassell, but failing to win the young woman's favour, he finds himself the target of the legendary Headless Horseman, who is known to haunt the town.
