AMC revealed a brief teaser for the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol on Sunday.

Here's What We Know

The final episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showed Carol Peletier, embodied by Melissa McBride, going in search of her best friend Daryl Dixon, who disappeared after a fuel stop in Freeport, Maine.

"I don't know if this is the place I'm supposed to be. Thinking about all the people I left behind. Wondering if they're still thinking about me." - said Daryl in the first trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Carol left the Ohio Commons and embarked on a search for Daryl along the East Coast. Her efforts led her to Fuller's Machine Shop in Maine, where Jones sold Daryl and Juno to Dr Lafleur, who sent Daryl on a transatlantic ship with zombie test subjects out of the country.
During New York Comic Con, ahead of the final episode of the Daryl Dixon season, AMC announced that McBride will return to her role in the second season of the renamed project, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol, in 2024.
The actress last appeared in the series finale of "The Walking Dead" in 2022 and was set to play a role in the new "Daryl & Carol" spin-off, but dropped the idea when a move to Europe became "logistically impossible" at the time, according to a statement from AMC.
"It was always the hope and the desire that we would get Melissa onto the show in season one, in whatever version she was ready to do. That was always what I wanted to do and what everybody wanted." showrunner David Zabel revealed in a post-season interview with ComicBook.
In addition to Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney will return to their roles.
