Netflix will release a new short horror movie "Flashback" for Halloween, only 16 minutes long, from the writer of the horror "Host" - the first trailer has been unveiled
Just in time for Halloween, a new horror short will be released on Netflix.
Here's What We Know
The scriptwriter of the upcoming horror titled Flashback is Jed Shepherd, who is known for the horror Host. The 2020 hit is one of the best films in the found footage genre and tells the story of six friends who, while self-isolated, hire a medium to conduct a seance through Zoom. The séance quickly turns to failure, and as spirits begin to invade each of their homes, the group realise they may not live to see the morning.
Now, Shepherd is busy with the shortest of all his works, the horror film Flashback, which will only be 16 minutes long. The screenwriter shared the trailer on Twitter and commented: "I'm very excited to announce Flashback which I wrote/directed for Netflix. It stars some of the loveliest people I know.".
In the trailer, we see Jemma Moore, playing the lead role, leading a yoga class in her studio when a grim, death-like figure appears in the doorway. Alongside this, a voiceover discusses how just before death, moments of our lives flash before our eyes, asking the question: "“If you could control that flashback and live in that moment again, would you change things".
In addition to Moore, the film also stars Amar Chadha-Patel and Haley Bishop.
When We Can Expect It
"Flashback" will be released on Netflix on 20 October.
