The trailer for Netflix's upcoming documentary "Sly" about Sylvester Stallone's life and career has been released
A fresh trailer of the documentary "Sly" dedicated to Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone has been published.
Here's What We Know
The film will feature excerpts from Stallone's major films, including, of course, "Rocky", which brought the actor worldwide fame, and also became one of the most important films in the history of pop culture. After such success, Stallone established himself in the action film genre in the equally iconic "Rambo" series of films.
The documentary about Stallone's life and career will show let the actor from an outsider who initially played a few insignificant roles even without a name in the credits, to a Hollywood legend who gave the film industry unforgettable characters.
Family and friends, including Quentin Tarantino and Arnold Schwarzenegger, were interviewed especially for "Sly."
"What is healthier, to live under the illusion and still have a glimmer of hope that you could have been great, or blow it and realize you're a failure?" - asks Stallone, accompanied by footage spanning his entire career. In the trailer, the actor talks about how it's not fame and success that ultimately matters most, but family.
The film was directed by Thom Zimny, known for his acclaimed documentary work with Bruce Springsteen. The documentary is rated R for the use of profanity.
When We Can Expect It
The release date for "Sly" on Netflix is 3 November.
