In a recent interview with SFX Magazine, director Eli Roth said that he is "ready to spend the rest of his life" making sequels to Thanksgiving.

Here's What We Know

Despite the fact that 'Thanksgiving' hasn't even been released in cinemas yet, but that doesn't stop Roth from hoping it will be sequelised.

"Every shot, we're like, 'Oh, the Thanksgivingverse' – we joke about it." he says excited about the prospect. "Look, if you give people a rich mythology, and a great killer, and a great backstory, and a good mask, the story can go in any number of directions. Part of what we spent so long on was coming up with the backstory, the mythology, the reason and the potential suspects for who could be doing this. I have a million different ways I could take the story. I love it. I could spend the rest of my life making Thanksgiving movies."

Here's What The Movie Is About

Based on the fake trailer that Roth created for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's 2007 film Grindhouse, Thanksgiving unfolds, as is easy to guess, during the American Thanksgiving holiday. The plot begins in the aftermath of the tragedy of the Black Friday riots, and a mysterious killer is on his way to the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. He is identified as "John Carver" who kills the residents one by one. Initially it looks like a series of random revenge killings, but soon turns out to be part of a larger and sinister holiday plan. Will the town be able to uncover the killer and survive the holidays ... Or will they become guests at his twisted holiday table?

The upcoming slasher stars Patrick Dempsey as the town's sheriff, Addison Rae as Gabby and Milo Manheim as Ryan. Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, Gina Gershon and Tim Dillon round out the cast.

Also, it has been published that "Thanksgiving" is rated R due to "strong bloody horror, violence and blood, pervasive language and some sexual content."

When We Can Expect It

"Thanksgiving" is set for release on 17 November.
