Santa with an axe: the first trailer for "Terrifier 3" has been released, where Art the Clown creates a terrifying and bloody Christmas atmosphere

"For those of you speculating that the Terrifier 3 teaser is just gonna be some 20-second gimmick, I assure you it’s a legit teaser/trailer." promised director and screenwriter Damien Leone. And he wasn't lying.

Here's What We Know

The trailer is indeed over two minutes long, and it's just as bleak as expected.

In the short snippet, which is available above, we see a little girl who suddenly hears a noise and rushes downstairs.... where a Santa-like figure appears before her eyes, placing something under the Christmas tree. Unfortunately, it turns out to be Art the Clown - with an axe in his hands. So we can only imagine what happens next. The next shot shows the Clown, covered in blood, sitting on a chair in the same living room, and we can see a bloody "Art" inscription on the wall. Agreed, very atmospheric in the run-up to the holiday.

The cast features Lauren LaVera, Elliot Fullam, Samantha Scaffidi, and David Howard Thornton as the horrible clown.

Terrifier 2 grossed an impressive $15.7 million on a budget of $250,000, making a third instalment inevitable. If the gory franchise continues to delight audiences, a fourth film is likely to come, making it the fifth film since Art the Clown's debut in Leon's anthology All Hallows' Eve.

"Terrifier 3" is set to hit cinemas on November 1, 2024.
