Revised release schedule: the current release schedule for all upcoming Marvel Universe films

With the end of the cast strike, Marvel Studios has once again made changes to the film release schedule for the next few years. Let's get to the bottom of it.

Here's What We Know

Given how often Marvel Studios has changed their schedule, we shouldn't hope that the list from ComicBook is definitive, but still.

So, what's in store for us:

Deadpool 3. The release date is set for 26 July 2024. The film is back in production, following the end of the cast strike. Ryan Reynolds will once again embody the character of Deadpool, and along with Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, will embark on a funny and seemingly touching journey through the Marvel Multiverse.

Captain America: Brave New World is set for release on 14 February 2025. Following the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson, also known as the Falcon, steps into the shoes of the new Captain America. His promotion comes at a not-so-favourable time, as the Leader is clearly about to usher in a new era of supervillain threats in the Marvel Universe.

Fantastic Four - 2 May 2025. The Fantastic Four project has been one of the most challenging for the studio (three failed attempts already...). The project is now being helmed by WanaVision director Matt Shakman, who promises to add elements of humour and family drama to the film. "Fantastic Four" is expected to be a key chapter in the vast saga of the Marvel Multiverse.

Thunderbolts is set for release on 25 July 2025. Rumours suggest that this team of Marvel anti-heroes is closely linked to the events in 'Captain America 4'. An ensemble cast of veteran antagonists at Marvel is exciting (to say the least). If there's a film on the list that could bring something new to the MCU, this is probably it.

Blade is expected by 7 November 2025. Interest in this project has skyrocketed after reports of the film's complicated path in development by Marvel Studios. According to rumours, Marvel is starting Blade from scratch and is supposedly looking at a super action format with a budget of less than $100 million, centred around two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty - 1 May 2026. It would make more sense to call this film Avengers 5. If the rumours are true now, then there is a possibility that Marvel Studios will take a drastic step, change direction and replace Kang (The One That Remains) with another powerful villain for the Cartoon Network Saga. If this is true, then the entire concept of the fifth Avengers film loses relevance and will be reimagined to fit the revised storyline.

Avengers: Secret Wars - 7 May 2027. If we don't know anything for sure about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, we don't know much about Secret Wars. Agreed, at this point it seems rather odd to stretch the plot of the big Multiverse War for another three years. But apparently, Marvel Studios, in all likelihood, has their reasons. Either way, the sixth instalment of the Avengers will come to fruition.
