James Gunn continues to drum up fan interest in the upcoming "Superman: Legacy" and revealed when we could see Superman's new costume
Finally, after the strikes are over, the production of the anticipated "Superman: Legacy" is in full swing, with a lot of relevant information coming out.
Here's What We Know
Director James Gunn has already started building the cast ahead of the official start of filming next March. The latest addition to the cast includes The Engineer, a character from the anti-hero team "Authority" from the original DC Comics material. The role has reportedly gone to María Gabriela de Faría.
Also, as the principal photography approaches, fans are asking a lot of questions, including: "What will Superman's new costume look like?"
According to Gunn himself, fans will have to wait at least a few months. In response to a fan's question under one of Gunn's recent Instagram posts, the director said that fans won't even see a hint at what the suit will look like until "Superman: Legacy" starts filming.
It's interesting to note that Gunn avoided specifying "once filming is complete" or a similar phrase, which could possibly imply his willingness to provide an image of the suit during principal photography. Recent projects from Warner Bros. have also resorted to similar methods before shooting on outdoor sets outdoors, mainly due to the increased likelihood of image leaks when filming outdoors.
As a reminder, "Superman: Legacy" will be the first film in DC's reimagined "Gods and Monsters" universe.
