The spin-off series of Batman (2022), which will tell the story of the formation of the villain Penguin, will soon resume filming.

Here's What We Know

Filming of the series began in March 2023, but the process was stopped in June during a strike by writers and actors in Hollywood. Now the series will be put back into production a week after Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on 23 November.

Colin Farrell will reprise his role as the Penguin, having already played him in Matt Reeves' Batman.

The series will start immediately after the end of Batman and will show how Oswald Cobblepot expands his influence on Gotham and becomes an even greater criminal mastermind.

Penguin will have 8 episodes. Lauren LeFranc is the writer and showrunner. Batman director Matt Reeves is the executive producer.

When We Can Expect It

The series is scheduled to be released on the Max streaming service in late 2024. However, due to schedule changes, the release may take place in 2025.
