The Witcher author, Andrzej Sapkowski, admires Henry Cavill's performance and admitted that even when imagining his character Geralt, he hears the actor's voice
Andrzej Sapkowski, author of The Witcher books, has expressed his admiration for Henry Cavill, who played Geralt of Rivia admitting that he even imagines his protagonist with Cavill's voice.
Here's What We Know
"There are only letters [in my books]. But then I also saw the series from Netflix and I would say the voice of Cavill, that’s right for me. So my own idea of Geralt’s voice, that would be Cavill" he told German publication Beyond Pixels at Vienna Comic Con.
Also, the author admitted that he is preparing to release a new Witcher novel next year.
It's a shame that Sapkowski's favourite had to say goodbye. Recall that Cavill left the series "The Witcher" after the third season. The actor will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. We'll see if he can also delight the author, but according to producer Tomek Baginski, Hemsworth looks "great" in make-up and Heralt's costume.
Like many projects, the fourth season of "The Witcher" was halted in production due to strikes. But as of now, it is reported that the project is back in development and filming is expected to begin in 2024.
