In 2023, no Disney film earned one billion dollars at the box office

This year, Disney has shown cartoons, superhero blockbusters, and reimaginings of long-known stories in cinemas, but none of the company's films have brought in $1 billion.

Here's What We Know

According to Variety, 2023 will be the first year since 2014 that Disney will not have a single film that earned $1 billion or more at the box office (excluding the covid years of 2020 and 2021).

The closest to the $1 billion mark was the film Guardians of the Galaxy 3, which brought the company $845 million.

In 2019, 7 Disney films earned more than $1 billion at once, so even the current figures may seem good, but they clearly do not reach the bar set by the company.
