Apple TV Plus' sci-fi series, Foundation, returns with a third season
"Foundation" can be called, indeed, exciting, as this sci-fi series has an amazing 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And now, it has officially been renewed for a third season.
Here's What We Know
The series is based on Isaac Asimov's novels and tells the thousand-year saga of the Foundation, a group of exiles working to save the Galactic Empire. The show has already spanned several centuries, and it looks like season three will be no exception, taking the story to dramatic new heights.
The first season of Foundation garnered many excellent reviews, but the second season, which was released in early 2023, exceeded expectations and earned a 100% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes. What should we expect from season three then?
Showrunner David S. Goyer shared his thoughts on it:
"I’m thrilled Apple has given us the opportunity to continue chronicling Asimov’s pioneering galactic saga" he said in a statement according to Deadline. "This time, the stakes for Foundation and Empire are even higher as the Mule takes center stage, along with fan-favorites Bayta, Toran, Ebling, and Magnifico Giganticus.".
Among the actors expected to return are Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Leah Harvey, as well as Lou Llobell as Gaal Dornick, Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk, Laura Birn as Eto Demersel and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn.
When We Can Expect It
