The combined Disney+ and Hulu streaming service will be better and bigger than Netflix
The combined forces of Disney+ and Hulu will result in the second largest streaming catalogue in the US with the most popular content.
Here's What We Know
After Walt Disney Co. struck a deal with Comcast to take full control of Hulu, the Hollywood giant plans to merge the streamer with Disney+. The combined streaming service is predicted to own more popular content in the U.S. than any other streamer.
According to Ampere Analytics, the size of its catalogue will be second only to Amazon Prime Video, but definitely ahead of Netflix. The future Disney+ giant will have more than 9,000 film projects to its credit, including a third of the top 100 most popular projects in the US.
Disney CEO Bob Iger recently said that the company will begin integrating Hulu into the larger Disney+ in December for users with a Disney Bundle subscription.
Indeed, Disney+ officially added a Hulu icon to its homepage on Wednesday, placing it alongside brands like Marvel, Pixar, Disney and Star Wars.
Iger also promised that they will try to launch a unified app on Disney+ by March 2024.
