Sci-fi thriller Fort Solis will get a film adaptation to expand the game's story and attract a new audience
Fort Solis is Fallen Leaf 's debut indie third-person psychological sci-fi thriller. The game was released in August 2023 and received 60 points from critics and 6.9 points from players on Metacritic. It's hard to say that the project has received rays of recognition, but despite this, the authors are planning to expand the game's universe and are preparing a film adaptation for us.
Here's What We Know
The developers have started working with Studios Extraordinaires to bring Fort Solis to film and television.
Fallen Leaf CEO said that the film and TV production agreement with Studio Extraordinaires marks an important milestone in the evolution of Fort Solis. Thanks to this partnership, the authors will open up new opportunities and ways to explore the universe created in their debut game.
Fort Solis adaptations will be developed by the "creative centre" of Studios Extraordinaires, headed by Andre Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson. They specialise in creating action, horror and science fiction films. The duo will use their experience to further expand the game's story and attract a wider audience.
It is also worth noting that the main roles in the game are played by Roger Clark, Troy Baker and Julia Brown. The former played Arthur Morgan in the cult game Red Dead Redemption 2. Troy Baker is known for many roles not only in games, but his main one is Joel Miller from The Last of Us series. And Julia can be found in the series The Last Kingdom and World on Fire. And if the same cast gathers to create the film, the project will already have something to attract the attention of viewers.
They promised to provide more details later.
