Marvel is ending its partnership with Jonathan Majors, following the actor's sentencing
On 18 December 2023, a jury in New York found actor Jonathan Majors guilty of third-degree assault and stalking.
Here's What We Know
These charges can carry a sentence of up to one year in prison. However, he was acquitted of two other charges: intentional assault and second-degree aggravated harassment. The man will be sentenced on 6 February 2024.
After the court's decision became known, Disney and Marvel terminated their partnership with Majors, and apparently now he will not return to the role of Kang the Conqueror. He was set to star in the upcoming film "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty". Previously, the actor also starred in the film "Creed 3".
Recall that on 25 March 2023, Majors called the emergency services and reported that he found his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, unconscious in their flat.
Jabbari claimed in court that Majors beat her during an argument that occurred between them amid jealousy while they were both in a car.
Apparently, Marvel will be doing some additional casting for the role of Kang the Conqueror.
