Recent rumours about the appearance of Hush, Clayface and other characters in DC's sequel to 'The Batman' have generated a lot of interest and of course James Gunn couldn't stay away and is set to quash some of them.
Here's What We Know
Filming on 'The Batman Part II' is due to begin next year and the film is scheduled for release in autumn 2025.
In a recent post on Threads, Gunn responded to rumours claiming that Professor Pyg, Scarcrow, Clayface, Hush and Dick Grayson will appear in the sequel. Gunn stated in one sentence that these rumours were "completely made up".
Here's What The Movie Is About
Matt Reeves is currently working on a Batman sequel, which he will direct and co-write with Robert Pattinson, who has returned to the role of Batman. Details of the project's plot remain a secret for now, but Reeves expressed excitement about working on the script:
"My partner and I are deep in it and I'm excited about what we're going to do".
As a reminder, in addition to the sequel, the Batman saga will be joined by a spin-off called "The Penguin" starring Colin Farrell. The series is confirmed to debut on streaming platform Max and will be released in 2024.
