Here's What We Know
A film adaptation of the video game "Bendy and the Ink Machine" was announced on Christmas Day.
Unfortunately, no details have been revealed yet. There is no information about the actors involved or the release time. The only thing known at this point, other than the film's very existence, is that film company Radar Pictures is involved in the production.
Radar Pictures was founded in 2003 by Ted Field, who had already made a name for himself in the entertainment industry by founding Interscope Communication in 1982 and Interscope Records in 1989.
Since the release of the first episode of Bendy and the Ink Machine in 2017, the Kindly Beast team has successfully developed the media franchise. Four games have already been released in the series, including five episodes of the original, and another one called "Bendy: The Cage" and it is still in development.
Fans have also been delighted with four different short novels, and a fifth has been planned for 2020, but has yet to go on sale. There are also plans for a TV series from John Wick franchise creator, Derek Kolstad, although it hasn't been heard from in years.
Now, the franchise seems poised to take a turn in a whole new direction as a film has been officially announced.
In addition to the upcoming film, the team behind Bendy is known to be hard at work on a new project called "Bendy: The Cage." So far, we've seen the original trailer, which was shown at Halloween this year.
