Although "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" was set to be released on December 20, Disney+ surprised fans by giving the series a Tuesday night primetime slot throughout its first season. As it turns out, the move resulted in a resounding success.
As stated in Disney's press release, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" is the top Disney Branded Television premiere of all time" as well as being "one of the top five season premieres of 2023." That's thanks to the first episode attracting 13.3 million viewers worldwide on the Disney+ and Hulu platforms during its first six days of airing.
On social media, the hashtag #PercyJackson has attracted 212 million views on TikTok over the past seven days.
