According to THR, actor Steven Yeun, known for his roles in "Beef" and "The Walking Dead," will no longer be a part of Marvel's upcoming show "Thunderbolts".

Here's What We Know

The specific reasons why Yeun left the project have not been revealed, but one of the possible reasons is believed to be the delay in the production and release of the film due to strikes by writers and actors in 2023.

"Thunderbolts" was originally scheduled to be released in July 2024, but it was then pushed back a year to July 2025, and the start of filming has still been delayed.

Yeon revealed his involvement in "Thunderbolts" back in July last year. Back then, he shared how he accidentally received an offer from the film's director, Jake Schreier, who was working on "Beef." He shared that after reading the script, he decided to join Marvel and hinted that his role in the film would be one of the key roles.

Although it was not officially confirmed at the time, there were rumours that Yeun would play the role of Sentri, a version of Superman in the Marvel universe. Sentri is a powerful superhero who suffers from dissociative identity disorder, which results in having two personalities in his head: the noble superhero Sentri and the hostile supervillain Void.
