Luke, your mum's here! Mark Hamill and Natalie Portman waited for the reunion that didn't happen in space
Golden Globes 2024 reunion. A much-anticipated reunion happened during this year's awards as Mark Hamill met his Star Wars "mother", Natalie Portman, for the first time.
Here's What We Know
Mark Hamill, known for his role as Jedi protagonist Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy, has shared a photo of his long-awaited meeting with his on-screen mother, Natalie Portman, who played Padme Amidala in the prequel.
"Now I have finally met my "mother", the actor wrote on his Twitter page.
Among fans of the franchise, the photo caused an incredible stir, because despite the fact that both actors played important roles in the Star Wars saga, their paths had not previously crossed on the film set or in life.
Well, it looks like the photo is really legendary, because in the format of future Star Wars shows this meeting could hardly take place, as Hamill made it clear earlier that he is done with the role of Luke Skywalker.
Portman, on the other hand, isn't dismissing the idea of continuing her path in the franchise. Last year, the actress noted that she was open to suggestions.
