Series Overview
Eddie Horniman inherits his father's large fortune, but discovers that it is part of a marijuana empire. To make matters worse, a number of unscrupulous members of Britain's criminal underworld are eager to get their hands on a piece of the empire. Intending to free his family from their grip, Eddie tries to play the gangsters' game by their rules. However, as he immerses himself in the world of crime, he begins to take a genuine interest in it.
The original film created by the same Guy Ritchie also revolved around the marijuana business. There, Michael Pearson, who was embodied by Matthew McConaughey, managed to create a marijuana empire using the estates of impoverished British aristocrats. However, when he decides to retire and attempts to sell his thriving business to another American billionaire, a chain of events unfolds involving blackmail, deceit, mayhem and murder among street thugs, Russian oligarchs, gangsters and dodgy journalists.
