Denis Villeneuve sets a new personal record for the length of a film. It is reported that "Dune: Part Two" will last 165 minutes or two hours and forty-five minutes, surpassing the first part of the film by a full ten minutes.

This timing, as announced by Digital Spy and the Irish Film Classification Office, not only beats Villeneuve's first "Dune", but also surpasses the length of David Lynch's adaptation, setting a new record for Villeneuve as the longest cinematic creation and in-depth exploration of the original story.
With "Dune: Part Two", Villeneuve intends to explore the second instalment of Frank Herbert's iconic sci-fi novel even further. We already know that familiar characters from the first instalment will return to the screen - Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Javier Bardem are also reprising their previous roles.
New cast members include Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Austin Butler, who will play Princess Irulan, Emperor Shaddam IV and Feyd-Raut Harkonnen respectively.
